DIY hot glue gun holder

Hi everyone and happy Friday...Finally! I wanted to share with you a couple of glue gun holders that I made for my upcoming craft show. These stands are great and so easy to  make.

It sits perfectly on my craft table and is always ready to go. I keep my glue sticks in a mason jar right next to the stand which seems to work well for me.

I found the directions to make this stand over at Shanty 2 Chick.  I modified it just a bit by getting larger round pegs and tiles.

I used fun colors to bright up any craft room. I have these listed in my Etsy shop and they would make for a great crafty gift as well!

Have fun!

Parisian Christmas

Hi everyone and happy Thursday! I got some exciting news yesterday. I was accepted to participate in Amazon Handmade. This is a new selling forum that Amazon just launched and you have to apply to be able to list.

I am still setting up my Amazon Store, but I thought I would try it out and see how it compares to Etsy. So far, it does not appear that there are any listing fees, so that will enable me to list as I make them and not be too concerned about paying for it only to be listed for 3 months.

I wanted to share with you my very fist listing.

I got this stamp from Stampendous months ago and I was thrilled to finally be able to use it. I love the way these cards came out. Very simple to make, yet very elegant. The paper I used below is from DCWV called The Rustic Stack.

Here is the listing to my Amazon store. I only have one item listed, but I am still testing the waters: Taylormadecard4u.

Thanks for stopping by.

Altered Art Featurette - Part III

Hi everyone. I am back with my final post for my Altered Art Featurette.  This week I am sharing with you a Wedding Frame I created using a frame I found at a local thrift store.

A few weeks ago I found some vintage dominos at a used book store. I had seen other people alter these so I decided to give it a try.  The So Suzy Wedding Dress stamp and Groom stamp fit perfectly on these two dominos. Let me show you what I did.

I measured and cut out 4 pieces of card stock that matched my wedding theme. I distressed the edges using Walnut Stain Distressing ink.

I cut out two pieces of script designer paper and stamped the paper using So Suzy Stamps Wedding Dress and Groom.  Once the ink was dry, I distressed the edges using Walnut stain and adhered them to the domino. I then added glossy accent and put aside to dry.

I stamped one of the squares using the Audrey Hepburn So Suzy stamp and another one with the Wedding dress stamp. I then adhered all 4 squares to the frame using mod podge.  I embellished the sentiment square using buttons and a metal key from Tim Holtz Idea-ology collection.

I glued the wedding dress domino over the stamped Wedding Dress image and took care in matching up the swirls. I glued down the Groom stamp. I cut out and adhered the Wedding theme designer paper to create a cross on the front of the frame.

To finish off the frame, I added a flower in the center, some pearls and two corner metal embellishments.

I was beyond thrilled with the way this frame turned out. I intentionally left two ofthe squares empty for the lucky person who ends up with this frame to add their own pictures.

I hope you have enjoyed my three week featurette and have inspired you to create some Altered Art of your own.

I would like to share my project with the following challenges:

Fun Sizes aren't so Fun!

He everyone and Happy Tuesday. We only have a few more days until Halloween, so the Riley Design Team thought we would have a little friendly challenge.

Halloween is...

Hey everyone!  I am running a little bit late today for my post over on So Suzy Stamps blog. Thank goodness it is not quite Halloween yet so Suzy doesn't risk killing me.  Afterall the safest day is Halloween.

This is one of my favorite sentiments and it really works great with this image. It is the perfect size.  This card was very simple to put together, using my label die cut, some brads and some designer paper. I added some stickers to the sides, which matched the paper perfectly.

I had to finish the card off with a creepy spider!

I hope everyone has a safe Halloween and hopefully we won't find any dead bodies on your porch this year!
