Breathe, Trust & Let Go!

Hi everyone! Can you believe that it is the last day of the first month in 2016. If this is any indication of the year to come, then we all better hang on!

I am here today to share with you this fun card I made using an image from Riley and Company and some Printables from VectoriaDesigns. Circus cards are so fun to make and these tickets are a perfect embellishment.

There is enough room to even add a sentiment. Now you really have to have TRUST to put your head in a lions mouth, so I found this cute little sentiment to compliment my card.

Surfer Girl

Hey everyone! Now I know that it is winter and we have been dealing with the colder weather, so I thought I would share this cute little Surfer Girl card to bring some much needed warmth and Sunshine into our lives!

I created this card using cardstock, stickers and washi tape from my stash. I colored my image using Copic Markers and fussy cut my image.

I adhered my image to a Journal card from Imagine That called Catchin waves. Once everything was in place, I added a couple of blue skittles.

I have provided a list below of the copic colors I used.

Thanks for stopping by!

Copic Colors: G05, G07, R27,N6, YR23, YR24, YR27, E00, E11, E21

5 Miles every day

Hi everyone! It is time for another design team challenge. This week Kelly has challenged us to include animals is our design and we get extra points for making it funny.

The Riley image works great with a Funny Bones sentiment called 5 miles.

Sweet Valentine

This Valentine's Day I will be on the road. I wanted to make something cute to give to my Co-workers on the road and would transport easily.

These cute little Valentine bag toppers from VectoriaDesigns worked perfectly! I cut some some vellum paper double the size of my packaged treat. In this case 8.5 inches.

Valentine Bag Toppers

I scored it at 4.25 inches and adhered the front side of my printable onto my paper.I punched a hole on both sides of my tag. I tied one side of my treat bag using matching twin and slid my treat in from the other side.

I then tied it closed.  I punched out two hearts and adhered them to the front. These would make great Valentines for kids as well. They come together very quickly, which is nice if you have a classroom full of kids!

Have fun!

Getting organized in 2016 with Deflecto

While I try not to make New Year resolutions, I do go through the organization phase every new year. This year was no exception, but I did have some new items to help me out this year.

Washi tape is a staple in my crafting and I use in many of my projects. The Deflecto stackable cube organizer was the perfect solution to store my washi tape, while keeping it organized and easy to get to.

Since I planned on having this sit on my desk, I wanted the organizer to match my vintage crafting decor. I thought it would be fun to go with a Postale theme using some of Tim Holtz paper stacks as well as some metal objects from Ideaology.

I was so thrilled with the way that the storage unit turned out, I created a matching Post it holder using the Deflecto Craft  4" x 6" craft frame.

The January calendar was also created using the 4" x 6" craft frame. It works great as a calendar stand and can be used for every month!

Valentine Flip Book - The Journey of the Crafting

Hi everyone! I am here today to share with you a Valentine Flip book I made a few weeks ago. It is a wonderful project, but not necessarily an easy one. I knew that I would be listing it in my Etsy shop, but was both happy and sad to wake up this morning to the notification of sale.

So one may ask why I sell rather than keep my projects. I get asked that often, especially with big projects such as this one. The answer is alway the same. While I love getting to the end and admiring my completed project, it is truly the Journey of the Crafting that I most love!

I love the challenge of creating. Watching the transformation is so rewarding. The base of the flip book was pretty easy to put together, it was the decorating that really took some time.

I found it best to work with one paper stack so that the paper matches throughout. I love using paper that has front and back as these combinations work so well and the paper is usually thicker.

The overall book is meant to be a photo keepsake. So you will find plenty of places to add your photos.

The theme is LOVE and you can see that throughout the book.

The middle section opens up to a pocket to add memorabilia or a fun gift card.

I loved putting this book together and it will be hard to see it shipped out today. I hope it will bring happiness to the recipient. I think I see a few more of these books in my future!

Nice Person

Hi everyone! So let's be real. Sometimes...on occasion, our mouths have a mind of their own. It seems that our mouth becomes more courageous when we are gossiping...I mean having coffee with friends.

So my New Year's resolution is to be a nice person, and I hope that my mouth will cooperate, LOL!

I created this fun card using a stamp that was released this month over at So Suzy Stamps called Nice Person. The fun Coffee Bean ribbon is also from So Suzy Stamps and can be found in her store as well.

The layout is very simple and I have provided a list of all the items I used below.

Victorian Romantic Valentine Card - VectoriaDesigns

Hey everyone! Now that we are officially in the New Year, it is time to start thinking about Valentine's Day cards.

VectoriaDesigns has some wonderful Parisian style printables that work great to embellish your cards. The tag in the background is one of the printables on a sheet that housed six beautiful tags

While cleaning out my craft room yesterday I found this ribbon that had been tucked away. It is perfect for a Valentine Card. The woman image is from Graphic 45.  This card was so simple to put together, but makes a wonderful Victorian Valentine.

Don't forget to check out the other sections over at VectoriaDesigns. I am sure you will not be disappointed.
